Frequently Asked Questions

CARE STRUCTURE & PHILOSOPHY

Care at Casa Matrescence is designed around continuity and relationship rather than one-time services. Support unfolds over time, allowing preparation, birth support, and postpartum care to remain connected and responsive as needs change.

No. Birth support is offered exclusively within Perinatal Continuity of Care. This ensures adequate preparation, shared understanding, and relational trust prior to birth.

No. All care at Casa Matrescence is non-clinical and complementary to medical care. Support is offered alongside, not in place of, your chosen healthcare providers.

TIMING & ENTRY WINDOWS

Earlier entry allows for more gradual adaptation and preventative support. However, inquiries at later stages of pregnancy are also welcome and considered thoughtfully, with care adapted to what is realistically possible within the available time.

Yes. Care is designed to support a range of birth paths, including physiological birth, medical interventions, cesarean birth, miscarraige, infant, or maternal loss. Preparation focuses on adaptability, nervous system regulation, and recovery, not rigid expectations.

Care is designed to adapt. Changes in birth plans, outcomes, or circumstances are approached with flexibility and support.

POSTPARTUM CARE

In some cases, yes. Families may enter postpartum care independently depending on timing, availability, and alignment. Whenever possible, care is shaped by prior relationship and understanding.

Postpartum Integration Support offers guided, ongoing support during the first 42 days with scheduled visits focused on recovery, education, and integration.

The 42-Day Ayurvedic Postpartum Immersion provides deeper, in-home support through extended care shifts rooted in traditional Ayurvedic postpartum practices.

Yes. Closing of the Bones ceremonies may be offered within postpartum care pathways and, by request, to non-birth clients seeking ritual closure after significant life transitions.

WOMEN’S AYURVEDIC CARE

No. Women’s Ayurvedic Care is offered independently and supports women across life phases, including preconception, postpartum beyond the early weeks, hormonal transitions, and midlife changes.

No. Ayurvedic wellness care is non-clinical and does not replace medical diagnosis or treatment. Care may be offered in collaboration with healthcare providers when appropriate.

LOGISTICS & AVAILABILITY

Care is offered in person on Oʻahu and the Hawaiian Islands, as well as virtually depending on the care pathway and needs.

At this time, services are self-pay. Some clients are able to use HSA/FSA funds depending on their plan.

Care is capacity-limited to ensure presence, quality, and sustainability. Availability varies throughout the year.

Beginning Care

The first step is to begin a care inquiry. From there, we’ll connect to explore timing, needs, and alignment.

No. An inquiry opens a conversation, not an obligation. Care begins only when both parties feel aligned and availability allows.
