Premium support for recovery, integration, and the early rhythms of life after birth.
The postpartum period is a profound season of healing, restoration, and transformation. Ayurvedic postpartum care at Casa Matrescence offers a premium, deeply personalized approach to recovery rooted in the time-honored wisdom of Ayurveda and its understanding that the first 42 days after birth deserve intentional care, nourishment, warmth, rest, and protection.
In a culture where attention often shifts almost entirely to the newborn after birth, this care intentionally returns the mother to the center without separating her wellbeing from that of her baby. Ayurveda recognizes mother and baby as an interconnected unit: when the mother is nourished, rested, supported, and given space to recover, the conditions are created for both to settle more gently into their new rhythms together.
Rather than expecting women to quickly “bounce back,” care honors postpartum as a period worthy of slowing down. Through restorative nourishment, Ayurvedic practices and rituals, nervous system support, meaningful rest, and attentive hands-on care, the Sacred Window becomes an opportunity to tend to the woman who has just given birth while supporting the family forming around her.
In many modern settings, support begins to disappear just as this vulnerable transition begins. Casa Matrescence offers another way: postpartum care where the mother is not an afterthought, but someone worthy of being deeply cared for as she heals, bonds, integrates her birth, and becomes anew.
This pathway offers deeply personalized, hands-on postpartum care rooted in Ayurvedic traditions for the first 42 days after birth. Designed to center the mother while supporting her and baby as an interconnected unit, care brings nourishment, restorative practices, feeding support, education, and practical postpartum tending directly into the home creating more space for healing, bonding, rest, and the gradual integration of life after birth.
Each visit is shaped around what you and your family need that day. This may mean preparing warm Ayurvedic meals and healing tonics while you rest; tending to your body through oil treatments, belly binding, or other practices; supporting infant feeding and newborn care; processing your birth experience; and helping establish gentler rhythms within the home. Rather than expecting you to host, manage, or direct your own care, you are invited to receive it.
Care is offered three times per week in 5–6 hour shifts, with families choosing from one to six weeks of support. Whether you desire focused care during your first days home or continuity throughout the full 42-day Sacred Window, the intention remains the same: to ensure the mother is held, fed, tended to, and given meaningful space to recover while the whole family settles into life together.

Ritual can offer a meaningful way to honor what the body has carried, acknowledge what has changed, and create space for integration after a profound life transition. The Closing of the Bones Ceremony is a private, restorative ritual traditionally associated with the postpartum passage, offering intentional space for the mother to be witnessed, nurtured, and symbolically gathered inward after the expansive experience of pregnancy and birth.
Through warmth, rest, intentional touch within scope, wrapping and gentle compression of the body, aromatics, reflection, and ceremony, the experience invites a sense of grounding and completion while honoring the woman, her body, and the threshold she has crossed. Rather than asking her to immediately move forward, this ritual creates space to pause and to acknowledge what was, what has been carried, and who she is becoming.
Closing of the Bones is included as the culminating ritual within Casa Matrescence Ayurvedic postpartum care and may also be reserved as a standalone ceremony. It can be thoughtfully adapted for women seeking meaningful closure after pregnancy or infant loss, the completion of breastfeeding, fertility journeys, significant reproductive transitions, or other deeply personal seasons of change.
Standalone Ceremony: $325 | Approximately 90–120 minutes
Ceremonial and body-care materials are included.
Postpartum care remains postpartum care, even when pregnancy ends in loss or a baby does not come home.
Following miscarriage, stillbirth, or infant loss, a woman's body may still move through profound physical, hormonal, and emotional changes, while grief brings another dimension to recovery. Casa Matrescence offers gentle, individualized postpartum support that honors both the physical experience of pregnancy and birth and the reality of loss.
Care may include restorative nourishment, Ayurvedic postpartum wellness, practical recovery support, lactation or milk-transition peer education, birth and loss processing, nervous system support, partner and family support, and meaningful ritual when desired. Your care is shaped around what feels supportive to you, without expectations for how you should grieve, heal, or move forward.
Postpartum care after loss is available whether or not you received prenatal or birth support through Casa Matrescence.
If you’re exploring postpartum support and wondering which pathway may be the best fit, the next step is to begin a care inquiry. From there, we’ll connect to discuss timing, needs, and alignment.
